Auto Industry

auto
Wednesday, November 19, 2008

The news headlines of the day are circulating news of impending doom for auto dealers/makers. They are seeking operating funds of $25 billion to keep their factories and other operations running. While we have all felt the sting of maybe paying too much for a car, new or used, this industry has been maligned by hype and perception rather than fact. In my opinion when you think about it, the auto industry is much like a wheel that keeps our economy moving. The designers get paid to develop new and innovative products, the factory then seeks out and pays for tools and quipment to produce these new products. The dealerships throughout the entire country in small town and large employ a staff of sales, technicans and administrative staff to offer the American public the convenience they have come to expect. (A vehicle to get them to and from any destination they choose to seek out. Work or fun. Do you have to buy a car? No, you can walk, ride a bike or take public transportation. Much like if you don't like what's said on TV or radio you can TURN IT OFF.)

So before you think a salesperson is not important in your life, think again. If it weren't for those out there selling products and services, our conveniences in life would be less.
